Wicket in Action - MEAP chapters 9 and 10

Thursday, December 13th, 2007

I have a premonition that you will be able to snuggle up in front of your CO2 neutral fireplace sipping a nice cup of hot chocolate with a freshly printed copy of Wicket in Action’s chapters 9 and 10 this weekend.

If you are in a more warmer climate (it is freezing out here) you can read them in your hammock on the porch looking at a nice sunset, sipping a martini.

The book Eelco and I are writing, Wicket in Action, is getting together quickly. As of today the MEAP edition consists of 228 pages worth of Wicket gold.

Wicket in Actin

We have added chapters 7 and 8, concluding the second part of our book:

  • Chapter 7: Using forms for data entry
  • Chapter 8: Composing your pages

Chapter 7 describes everything you wanted to know about form processing and validation. Chapter 8 describes how you can group components using WebMarkupContainers, fragments and panels, and describes the various ways of composing your pages to get a consistent layout across your whole application.

Get it while it is fresh! And as always: comments are welcome on the Author Online forum.
