It did occur to me that if the Netherlands lost to Romania “on purpose”, both France and Italy would have been eliminated regardless of their match’s outcome.

Congrats to the Netherlands for not resorting to such unsportsmanlike conduct!

You can predict, but if I were you, I wouldn’t put money where your mouth is . If there is an Italy-Netherlands it will be in the semi finals (as Henning noted previously).

In about a week, all the dutch supporters will moan and cry how they could have been eliminated in the semis by an Italian team that should have been long home by then.

Sometimes, losing would have been winning.
