I attended the Databinder Release Party

Saturday, October 7th, 2006

Man that was awesome! The Databinder folks really know how to party… I just woke up with a huge headache and I must say I can’t remember much from what happened in the last hours of the party. I’m sure it wasn’t too embarrassing.

I would like to congratulate the ever innovating N8han with his newest release: Databinder 0.8

Graffiti on the wall: Wicket+databinder screencast

Wednesday, August 30th, 2006

Nathan keeps on lagging behind: first he copied Wicket’s maven repository idea, then he went on a limb and had Maven sync his repository to ibiblio, now he also has created a screencast. I wonder when he’ll also move databinder into the Apache incubator?

Just kidding!

The screencast of Nathan is pretty cool, and shows how you can create a virtual graffiti wall, using Wicket and his own add-on, Databinder. In the screencast you can see a simple blog backed by a database evolve into a nice graphical wall with actual grafiti letters. Kudo’s for making such cool demo’s!

Databinder got back

In a very entertaining blog entry Nathan explains the pains he has had with integrating the basic security package provided with Wicket 1.2 While showing off his neat integrated security functionality, he takes a stab at Spring, and PHP. I promise, Nathan, next project I start up will be databinder based :-).
